Principal’s Message
The College was established in 2004 with the motto of promoting Teacher Education. It has successfully completed one decade. And running on 11th year with good academic achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities.
It is recognized by Government of Karnataka, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi since 2004. From 2004 – 05 to 2009-10 the Academic year our college was affiliated to Karanataka University Dharwad. And recently from the Academic year 2010- 2011 onwards Affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. Our College infrastructure and facilities are according to NCTE, UGC and NAAC norms and standards. Now our college under the process of NAAC accreditation. with Potential for Excellence in TQM of NCTE and Govt. of Karnataka.
The college takes care of every student teacher including the shy student teachers who hesitates and sit in the corners, by introducing healthy and innovative practices like :
• The Mentor System- One teacher is appointed to work as Mentor for every 10 students.
• Talent hunt programme- is arranged on every Saturday. This programme provides a platform to expose the hidden talents of our student teachers- like singing, dancing, communicating, comparing, presenting and organizing skills. These skills bring forth values like sociability, harmony, ownership and responsibility.
• Teachers/Parents meet & Teachers-Alumni meet which are regular features of our college solves the student related problems, builds rapport & helps in improvement and guides us in starting new and need based counseling and guidance.
• The strength of any institution is depends on its faculty and staff. Our colleagues are role models in aspects like discipline, Guidance, punctuality, time management, displaying teaching plans, encouraging academic activities among student teachers and instilling values like love & respect for parents, students, management and public in general.
• Our philanthropic Management stand by us in all the decisions that we take, and has been motivating us by granting total autonomy in administration.
• Ours is a beautiful campus with well disciplined student teachers. Experiential learning by students is given prime importance- where student teachers present seminar papers, participate in project works, internship in teaching, engage themselves in extracurricular activities like NSS, CTC,SUPW, Community related activities like Health Awareness & Blood Donation Camps, Anti ragging, atrocities against the women anti sexual harassment, swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Beti padawo Beti Bachawo, Jandhan yojana,And Closing of unused bore well wholes awareness programmes.
• The College has stepped into the concept of “Think Beyond the Curriculum”. With this end in view, Career Oriented Programmes, Add On Courses, lectures by experts are arranged which help in building Team Spirit and creativity among students.
• Under the SUPW programmes our students gains self confidence to produce community useful product for The benefit of poor students of our practicing school.
• To develop mastery in the school subject among our college students, we organize subject wise various Clubs like Science Club, language Clubs, History Club, Mathematics Club and Geography Club. And these clubs have organize debate computation, Exhibition and Quiz Competition etc.
• To develop sound mind in a sound body among the would be teachers. We conduct Daily morning Prayer Assembly, training of MD, Yoga, March Past, Sports & Games and general exercise as per our college time table.
• To create a software awareness among the would be teachers. Our lecturers guide the students to develop software of Audio Visual aids like, Transparency, Slides and frames for the programmed instructional materials and models etc.
• To improve the quality of the teachers, we take our college students to special education institution and there, they gain knowledge of all school records, educational activities, School administration process etc. And to know the interest and attitudes of the School students our would be teacher students conduct Psychological Tests and case Study at respective school
